WELD Lab had a great time presenting our research in Chicago at the 2024 SIOP Conference!

Kayley Morris presented qualitative findings from employees disclosing prior incarceration status to coworkers – spoiler alert, they saw more benefits than costs.

Didar Zeytun co-chaired (with Dr. Grandey) a packed-house symposium on working women’s menstrual and menopausal experiences and work behaviors.

Didar presented her research at the symposium on how women are less likely to take breaks to cope with female-specific symptoms than other types of symptoms

Cristina Gonzalez presented a poster of her research (with Haylee Min) on machine learning systems

Tayana Rich presented a poster of her research (with Rustin Meyer) on political ideology and the diversity-validity dilemma

Hannah Stockdale presented her research in two symposia, with one project on on openness to feedback about allyship and another on the costs of reporting sexual harassment.

At the reception, Didar Zeytun was announced as the recipient of this year’s People Make the Place Award. This recognition is awarded to a graduate student who goes above and beyond to serve the program and support (both personally and professional) their fellow graduate students.
